T. (Teo) Forcht Dagi, MD, DmedSc, MPH, MBA, FACS, FRCSEd, Board Member, CEO
Teo Forcht Dagi is an experienced leader with a distinguished career in neurosurgery, medical innovation and venture capital. Dr. Dagi is a board certified neurosurgeon trained at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He holds faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and Queen’s University Belfast. He served as President of the Georgia Neurosurgical Society and as a Director of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has sat on numerous public and private boards, has been involved in many start-ups and early stage companies, and served as a partner at and advisor to prominent venture capital funds. He received an AB from Columbia, and an MD and MPH from Johns Hopkins. He holds an MBA with distinction from Wharton and was awarded a DMedSc (Honoris Causae) from Queen’s University Belfast for contributions to medicine and public service.
Edvardas Satkauskas - General Director of UAB Vittamed
Based in Kaunas, Lithuania. Edvardas manages Vittamed’s Lithuanian office in Kaunas overseeing legal, financial and administrative management of the Company as well as coordinating all Vittamed’s international R&D and Clinical projects. He is responsible for company operations in Europe including product development, regulatory, manufacturing and commercial deployment. Edvardas is a partner at Invizija, a Lithuanian investment company. He previously worked as medical device export manager in leading orthopaedic company in Baltic States and has solid experience in project management, international business expansion and new business development. Edvardas holds an MBA from Kaunas University of Technology.
Prof. Arminas Ragauskas, DSc, FBC, FLSHD, Chief Science and Technology Officer
Based in Kaunas, Lithuania. Professor Ragauskas has established and heads the Health Telematic Science Institute at the Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania. He is a recognized internationally as an innovator and inventor in both the field of non-invasive physiological monitoring technologies and in the field of industrial ultrasonic measurement technologies. He has with more than 150 US, European and national patents in UK, Germany, France Canada, Japan and other countries to his and his co-authors names. He is an experienced entrepreneur, having founded three high-tech companies. He is a steering committee member of the European Research Group “Brain + Information Technologies (BrainIT)” (www.brain-it.eu). Professor Ragauskas has been awarded several grants from the European Commission, the US Department of Defense, the US Army, the US National Space Biomedical Research Institute, European Structural Funds, Swiss Government, etc.
Evaldas Kalvaitis, PhD Technical Director
Based in Kaunas, Lithuania, Evaldas is responsible for the creation and maintenance of Vittamed’s ISO 13485 quality management system, as well as ensuring the company’s products conformance to the European Union Directives and USA FDA requirements. He works closely with the company researchers and engineers to find and implement innovative technological solutions into Vittamed products.
Prior to joining Vittamed, Evaldas worked at Telematics Science Centre at Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania). From 2007 - 2012 he worked as CEO at leading construction companies in Lithuania and Norway, where he successfully managed and implemented more than ten large commercial construction projects with total budget over 25 million EUR. During the same period he worked as internal auditor at Concern “Achema group” consisting of more than 50 companies with annual revenue over 1 billion EUR. Evaldas holds a bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania).
